is there a java file in the folder of the shimeji? if so, go to java and then click "do i have java?" then test it (just in case there was a missed update) if there is an update, get it. then after the installation is done close all the pages and go to the shimeji folder. go to "conf". there is 2 files that you need. one is 43 (or 44) KB. the other is 10 KB. you need to rename the files like this: name the 43 (or 44) KB file:Β εδ½. then name the 10 KB file:Β θ‘ε. then go back and click the file in the folder with the java icon. nothing will happen. close the folder and in a minute or right away the shimeji will fall from the screen. i had the same situation and this is how i fixed itΒ Β tell me if it works for you.
