Delilah was throwing all her belongings around her room. She didn't want to move to the country. She didn't want to move at all. She hated almost every type of animal. She wanted to stay with her friends in Los Angeles. Her father said she would make new friends, but all she thought was 'I'm not going to hang around the Beverley Hills Hillbillies or any other country person; It would be so not cool.'

The time came to leave and Delilah was forced to pack everything she wanted to keep. Stepping outside Delilah turned around, to have one last look at her house. A single tear crept down her face and dropped onto the ground. She was really leaving, everything and everyone. She and her father caught the first plane to the country.

The flight was long and uneventful. When Delilah arrived, she saw only animals in paddocks and plants. Where were the five star hotels, fancy restaurants and Shopping Malls? Delilah only saw a post office; a small food store, which was a third the size of Aldi and a miniature chemist, with only two Aisles.

Walking to her new home, Delilah decided to call her friends and tell them that she had finally arrived in the middle of nowhere. She decided to call Stacy first. Clicking on Stacy's name,
Delilah yelled "Darn!!! There's no reception. What am I to do? I won't last a week in this Hellhole." She ran off into some random paddock, searching for some reception. Bang, she had run into a 'hot' country guy. 'Why am I thinking this? It's only a country person. And aren't they all ugly people, who can't speak properly?' she thought. "Sorry, are you alright. My name is Carter."
"Yea, I'm Delilah. Um, do you know if there's any phone reception around here."
"Yes, up near the old church"
"ok. Thanks, bye." Delilah ran towards the old church, but her father stopped her, by telling her to go to her new home.

The house was nothing like her house in LA. The windows were tall and chequered, the roof was beige coloured, and there was a chimney, and a long front veranda, and the outside perimeter was lined with rose bushes. Inside the house seemed somehow bigger perhaps it was because it was empty or the fact the she had never been there before.
