Thanks. I don't think the eye is closed, but I have been wondering as well. Aparently just too little light on the eye to bring a reflection.

Well, having looked at it again in big size, I think the eye actually reflects the feathers around it. But, I'm not sure!

It really is hard to tell because there isn't much of a visual texture to the feathers around that area.
