To honour Robert Houghton, I publish one of his last masterworks he sent me this month. He cannot publish his works himself on deviantart. I find this piece of art very emotive.

She cannot count howmany times the teacher said her: "Kim, write with your right hand! Or I'll attach your left one in your back". And she did once or twice what she had said. Before the break, the teacher unlaced Kim's left hand, but Kim had no feeling on her left arm, as if it was fully removed. She only found back her sensation when she arrived home and would open the door - as usual - with her left hand. She could not imagine that it was a premonition for 15 years later, when her arm was removed by surgical medium to save her life.

Yesterday, Kim recognized, on her right, her former teacher at the supermarket.

    -         Mrs. Morrison?

    -         Yes.

    -         I am Kim, you were my schoolmistress 17 years ago.

    -         Kim … I remember, it wasn’t easy to teach you to write with your right hand. I am now retired since last year.

    -         I promise you I never more write lefthanded! Kim turns in front of Mrs. Morrison.

    -         Ooooh, poor Kim! What happened your left arm? It's tragic what you're going through!

    -         I let it cut to avoid writing lefthanded. Kim shows a little smile.

    -         Do not make fun of me! After you, I never was so cruel on a child who was naturally lefthanded. I tried to help each child, but without tyrannic method.

    -         I suffered a dangerous cancer at my elbow 2 years ago. A surgeon amputated my full arm to save my life. A good news : my cancer didn’t go farther than the arm, and I am now healthy.

A friend of mine has a onearmed wife with as similar amputation as this one, or perhaps a shorter stump.
