I almost titled this "creativity" but that title didn't seem very creative. It's actually a self portrait
Sometimes creativity feels amazing; the things you make can bring you so much joy, but at other times it feels like a drag. I spend a lot of time wishing I was better, practicing and practicing. Some days I can't draw a damn thing and some nights I stay up until an ungodly hour to make the most of a "drawing high" (when for some reason I can suddenly draw brilliantly).
I'm constantly trying to improve which can be difficult at times, but I don't think that's a bad thing. If I wasn't like that I would never have been able to create this picture.
The idea was to look ahead and to keep on going towards brighter future, not to look back with regret but to remember what you've learned from your mistakes and to use that to improve. After all, pressure makes diamonds.
Don't restrict your creativity, let it flow freely even on bad days.
You will get better if you keep on trying.
(Yes I do like Lynyrd Skynyrd!)

I agree with the free flowing creativity days, they're awesome. I'd fight to extend those beyond anything rational, lol. Drawing till my head would drop with exhaustion, and then I'd pick myself up, make some coffee and continue fighting the good fight. YEAH!
There are other times when I have to push myself really forcefully into drawing something, those times can turn into a burst of drawing euphoria or not - and then more pushing is required
