Description
I'm doing individual character pages for the Composers. Here's Johannes "Joe" Brahms, the first in the series. I am having intarnetz issues, so I'll post the rest later.I'm basically doing a full-body drawing of each of the guys, and some different facial expression studies. I can tellya that a guy whose face is mostly covered in hair is not easy to emote...

Indeed.
And Brahms' Hungarian Dances was a favourite for these old cartoons soundtracks. I saw many Disney and Woody's cartoons with it.

Your drawing was excellent, as usual, but I thought to my untrained eye that he looks like Karl Marx. They are from the same time, right? Or wrong?

*lol* Ahhh, that's great! I think you did a very admirable job with those expressions! They really DO convey emotions...I can't WAIT to see the others.

I like this. I could see what you mean by being hard to emote, but you did a good job; the trick is getting the reader to focus on more than just his ginormous beard.
Also, I like the little touches here, like the patch on his sleeve and the pocket full of sweets.

Whiskers could actually help him emote. They could get jagged when he's angry, droop when he's sad, look lively when he's happy...
