I remember evenings like this on a lake in the Adirondacks. The point of view is nicely done. I rather like that she seems to have her camp light on, behind her and he is sitting by the fire - two different means by which to provide comfort in the wild.

It's so beautiful Robert!!!!...A fantastic painting!!.....I felt as if I could touch her and she would turn around!!She looks very comfortable on the soft squashy pillow....I'll just pull her sheet up..she may get cold!

Thank you, Patricia, very much. Funny, but not really funny: the model is my wife. She was very ill with a viral infection. I'd just brought her back from the VA emergency room where they kept her for three hours with two saline IVs and nausea medication along with anti-biotics. She had to lye on our love seat for the rest of the day and night. I painted her in and just kept adding the other elements to come up with this. I see it as she's dreaming of me (although the man is not a self portrait) and the man is dreaming of her. Yes, you're right in a way: she was as comfortable as it was possible to be.

I hope she recovered well!!!Bugs seem to be causing trouble in our country too..We have never had so many viral infections....You have managed a lovely dream picture out of a "funny "situation!..
