Thanks hun. THis one did turn out rather neat as it seems to have a lot of depth. I was trying to fit these all in 5 minutes - I wish I had more time to really think about my shots - but I'm still happy with what I got.

I think that getting a good effective shot off is the same with a camera as with a rifle. Intuition, skill and muscle memory play a large part in getting it done RIGHT and quickly!

You are probably right. Each time you shoot something, you learn what works and what doesn't. I find that sometimes when I'm in a hurry is when I get the best stuff. Not over thinking things I guess!

I would say the same it true in swordsmanship where intuition, skill and experience make it possible to toss aside any apprehensions about "doing it right."

Well, I'm not very intuitive YET - but I'm working on it.

Luke Schmook. It's his handsome and dapper friend I'm interested in. No, not Chewy - I already have a hairy beast - I'm talking about Hans Solo!!!

Did you know that before Harrison Ford was discovered he was a carpenter and actually worked for the 60s band "The Doors?"

Decarabia69 In reply to Handie [2009-04-07 03:02:56 +0000 UTC]

Yep! Check it out:

Since he wasn’t getting any major roles, Ford started working as a self-taught professional carpenter. It was during his carpentry work that he became stagehand for the popular rock band The Doors. He was hired by George Lucas to build cabinets in his home.

Me too! it's so pretty..... until you have to drive through a foot deep of it or shovel a 3 car driveway clean, with snow drifts up to your........

ahem. Let's just say that it's a love, hate thing!

I see you are from Canada - what province are you in? I'm in MB. We are still in the depths of winter. Had a big snow storm today - at least a foot of that crap fell. heee hee- in the fall it's beautiful, in March - it's crap......

Well, actually, you can probably fit 4 in it. BUt it's not a luxurious one - My garage is kind of in the back yard - so it's a single lane, but it's very long. And a real PITA to shovel!!

ZEROresolution In reply to Handie [2009-03-28 03:32:13 +0000 UTC]

You could fit two houses in my back yard.

ooh - sounds like a nice size. I wish my backyard was a little bigger. well, it is pretty big I guess, but the garage fills it up quite a bit!

you betcha! Actually, it was a pretty warm day when I shot these. But I've been out a few times and froze my ass off. (not literally - if that was true we'd all be skinny around these parts)

Mostly winter and snow are a nuisance - but it can be pretty amazing if you catch it just right. Thanks for the fav hun!

Thank you for your comment. I liked the way this one turned out - it has a nice sense of distance. kind of like you could just walk this frosty path forever. I like the way you described it - interesting from foreground to background.
