About time I got the profile for this character up, seen as I keep drawing him.

Name: James Turnbull

Basics: As you’ve probably gathered already, he’s [link] ’s son. He’s 15 and lives in England. Just to clarify he’s a normal human being, although if you asked him he’d probably tell you he was a dragon overlord or something. Followed by a dorky laugh at his own incredible wit.

His Mum was Australian, so technically he has duel nationality. But he’s only spent a fortnight in Australia, and hated it (Too hot!), so thinks of himself as English. His mum died when he was 1.5-2 years old, and he’s lived with his dad ever since. He can’t really remember his mother.

He’s a bit nerdy, he’s into Star Wars and fantasy. He really likes playing DnD but the only person who will play it with him is his dad. His dad finds it really boring but plays to humour him. At least he doesn’t have to stand in the cold and watch James play football once a week, as his son is somewhat lacking athletic prowess.

James is writing an epic fantasy novel. He thinks it’s amazing but it’s actually fairly atrocious. He probably uploads his drawings of the characters on DeviantArt. I kind of want to be really meta and create a DeviantArt account for him, but I’m bad enough keeping up to date with my own account!

You’d think with his love of fantasy he would think having a werewolf for a father is awesome. Alas, having been around werewolves all his life they are as fantastical and supernatural to him as shopping trolleys.

He is very close to his dad, and sees him more as a friend than a father. His uncle is the assistant vice principal at his school, and takes some his classes. They don’t get on so well, although his uncle really does a lot for him and always has his best interests at heart.

He really likes the mod style and music. He wants to get a moped as soon as he’s old enough, but I doubt his dad will be able to afford it.

Personality: Fairly socially inept – a conversation with him generally involves him talking at you and ignoring anything you say. Or monosyllabic grunts, depending on his mood.

He’s intelligent and can do things really well if he puts his mind to it. These things do not include schoolwork. He regards school as a bit pointless as he feels kind of hopeless about his future.

He’s really self-conscious about his body and refuses to go topless in front of others.

The other kids in his school regard him as a bit strange and tend to avoid him. He would be a prime target for bullies except few students have the nerve to pick on the assistant vice principal’s nephew whilst in school. And that guy who kicked him in ended up in hospital after James set an enormous dog on him one night…

Most of these personality traits will change over the next few years, a lot of them are down to teenage awkwardness.
