Nora/Hiiro from Noragami.Noragami has recently been added to my all time favorite anime list. I wanted to paint Nora being inspired by her mysteriousness and coldness. It seems she has some connection to water, so I tried to incorporate it into the painting. Hope it worked out ok.
Lately I've been thinking that my drawings are not quite up to the mark due to some reason or another. Either there's problem with anatomy or with coloring or the whole drawing seems off at times, without that remarkable feel. But after watching this www.youtube.com/watch?v=W4mDRj…
video of Sakimichan's painting , I came to learn a lot, especially about drawing with patience. I put all my patience to the test into this piece and I am very satisfied with my effort.
I hope you enjoy, and I hope that I can improve more. Feel free to criticize because it helps me improve.

So, I really like how you drew Nora here. She is mysterious and cold, sure, but you also managed to show her playful nature which, I feel, is also important in her portrayal. She is a kid, after all (creepy kid, but still).
The background is simple (in a good way) and it gives off the mysterious vibe you were probably aiming for. I also love the 3D effect you created by making the branch in the background more blurred (but still very detailed) and focusing on the water instead.
The pattern on the sash is really well made and it makes the picture even more interesting. I think this pattern, along with other details (such as water splashes), creates a nice contrast with delicate and fading parts of Nora's robe. :3

Also....I'm also glad that you mentioned her playful nature here. I pictured her luring the viewer towards her with her childlike innocence and playfulness. But the viewer doesn't know that he's falling into a trap. XD
