I like how you always surprise me with the poses you do and the things you wear. You seem so much more... dark I suppose. Put together? And the pose is lovely and strange.

Thank you! I usually try to avoid doing my own styling because I own so little but this combination did come out well.

Thanks Miss. I talk a lot about using architecture when I am training models. I don't see the point to posing in front of a location. It makes things 3D if you actually engage with it. I love the idea of making a shot which could never have been made in a different place or if one of the people involved had been different.

You should come along to some of the workshops I do. Even if you can only sit there with your crutches, it is still a lot of fun.

J'adore the angles and tension in your limbs! And the intense expression on your face! AND the effortless feel of the picture! You look like you're floating in the air. Amazing job! I love it!

Those are my favorite kinds of poses, because they are interesting, angular, structural, intense, and energetic. It captivates the audience and forces their eyes to dance across the graphic image in wonder. I've always enjoyed more editorial pictures with strange creative than any other. Kudos on this beutiful picture and get well soon!

Thank you! I love exposure ways to use the architecture of a space in posing. Its something I talk about a fair bit when I teach modeling also.

Then your models must be very well taught. Architecture can inspire some of the most graphic, yet stunning poses ever. In just this picture alone, I see immense talent and promise. If only I could shoot someone like you. I have to rely on asking my friends, most of whom are camera-shy, or trying to shoot myself, which doesn't work all the time. *sigh*

Ahhh, yes. I am familiar with that kind of model also. Everyone starts with them. My best advice is to find actors. I see from your journal that you do some theatre at school so try and rope some drama people in to it. Actors make for amazing models. They are all I use these days. They can tell stories with their bodies and faces and think the whole time, which I love.
