History: Donald was the son eldest son in a single parent home. His mother worked hard to give his brother and him a good life. Despite his good heart Donald was instead lured into the streets by his peers. Donald soon found himself in the wrong place at the right time when he was instructed to collect a package for the drug dealer Smooth T. The location exploded with Donald inside and he thought for sure it was the end.
What had actually happened was a powerful being from another world had crashed through the borders of reality to land right on top of Donald. The being’s magnificent power bonded with Donald and he became the wielder of an ancient power known as the Dark Force.
He attempted to leave the employ of Smooth T but found that difficult. His attempt to leave cost him the life of his little brother, an event his mother could never forgive him for. He took his rage out on Smooth T’s Gang, tearing his way through their ranks until he was stopped by the hero Quantum, who befriended him and worked to help him find a new direction. The two worked together as heroes and formed a friendship that has spanned galaxies.

When Quantum decided to leave earth in search of his birthright in on the planet Nubia Darkforce joined him on the quest. His friendship and loyalty to Quantum never wavered even when they became enemies of the Nubian Alliance, and the Dark Armada. He now follows his friend on their journey to restore the Nubian empire. He has begun dating Monifah, the captain of the mercenary ship The Blackstar.

Personality: Donald was always a hot headed person, with an anger that was directed to those all around him. After meeting and spending time with Quantum his attitude mellowed, though he still has a temperamental streak. Being the weilder of so much raw power only fuels his rage. To his friends Donald is a very caring, and protective individual. He is very good with people and can befriend almost anyone. He was raised on the streets so he tends to have a very direct and simple approach to many of his problems. Despite exposure to an exotic array of experiences he still maintains a love for his home planet, and the family he left behind. His desire to always do the right thing is fueled by his guilt over the death of his brother. Donald isn’t as morally unyielding as his friend Quantum, and believes that there is not always room to “fight fair.” If he believes in something there is nothing that will stop him from reaching it, and no force in the galaxy that can slow him down.

Powers: The full potential of the Darkforce are yet unmeasured and unknown. It is an embodiment of raw power manifesting as dark energy that envelops Darkforce and can be dispersed in a variety of ways. The energy is similar to dark matter and plasma energy that powers stars. Although he has previously used his abilities for concussive eye and hand blasts, the true power is limited by his imagination. His dark aura is invulnerable to most assaults and also can maintain his physiology indefinitely while he travels through the vacuum of space.

Costume: His costume is a deep red with a metallic look to it. Because his superhero life was influenced by his partnership with quantum he adopted a dark version of the costume with the sides being a deep black and the rope style breastplate. He wears gauntlets that are also made of metal. He typically wears a mask on his earth adventures but he does not when traveling through the cosmos.
