*******CREEPY SUNDAY - JAPANESE URBAN LEGEND*******Aka-manto (赤マント): Aka-manto is a scary Japanese urban legend about a malicious male spirit wearing red cape and a mask who is said to haunt public bathrooms. According to the legend, Aka-manto would appear when a person is sitting on a toilet and would ask if they want blue or red paper. If a person answers 'blue paper', Aka-manto would strangle that person and suck all the blood out of body, leaving just only a corpse with blue face. If a person answers 'red paper', they would be flayed and tie the back skin around their shoulders, similar to his cape. The way to escape from Aka-manto is to ignore the spirit or to reply preferring either colors of paper and then use the time when the spirit is confused, escape away as fast as possible.

I've heard variations where he's a handsome ghost and if you answer with other colors white hands will emerge and drag them down to hell. Also if they answered yellow paper, they'll get dunked in the toliet (GROSS!). I think one variation said to escape is to say no paper. Pretty creepy, theres also an indie game called Aka Manto too that is really hard to beat.

Yes. A monster who doesn't have a name. It was just called a “Yokai” that appears in the bathroom. Now that it ’s a Western-style toilet, there ’s less space for this youkai,haha.
