I know! It so sad! If they hadn't tried to change it so much when they dubbed it it would have been just as popular as naruto and inuyasha. I first saw it like 6 years ago when it aired as Case Closed in America and I remember watching a few episodes and thinking "Hey this seems pretty interesting" but it also seemed kind of lame so i lost interest in it after a few episodes then about 2 years ago i was bored and stumbled upon Detective Conan and was like "Hey! I remember this!" and i started reading the manga and immediately got addicted to it.

lol, when it first aired I was interested because I adore mystery series, especially Holmes related, and I was hooked all at once, one of my favorites was The Moonlit Sinatra Murder. In the last year I got bored and looked for older anime that I hadn't seen in awhile, found Detective Conan and began to watch it. But darn, where I was watching the episodes is now gone, so I have to hunt it down again. This is definitely my most favorite longest running series. I really like that it never gets boring, some plot twist will always keep you on your toes. I also love that it's a perfect mix of childlike humor and art, and the brutality of murder, love and crime. Absolutely wonderful

Lol I love mystery shows/series/books too especially if it has romance in it as well though for some reason i have never been able to get into the sherlock holmes books for some reason I love shows like CSI and other mystery shows. There is this really awesome show called Castle that airs in america you should check it out if you haven't already its got great characters and great mysteries too. Usually i end up guessing who the culprit is before the end but in Castle i have only guessed right once lol.
When i first saw Case Closed I only watch like the first two episodes and then the episode with the 'haunted house' where the guys mother was keeping him locked up in the basement and they both have really really huge noses? So i didn't get too far in but i am sure if i had of i would have been obsessed then.
A lot of the sites are being closed down so the only stable place is youtube right now. Conantantei . com probably has some of the episodes though i havent been there in a while and you have to be invited to the site but if you don't already have a user name there i can send you an invite.

That'd be great! And lol Haunted House was a good episode! I kinda miss Conan. I was watching it on youtube as well, but then there was a mass deletion of Conan videos and profiles, so I have to go hunt the episodes back down. I was at the end of season seven.
