Ran across this page when I was going back through the Magic Kaito series looking for Hakuba/Akako interactions when Anita-Hailey and I were RPing the other day. Even though that was like weeks ago I just now got around to finishing it...
Yes its read Right to Left even though almost all the english translated Magic Kaito pages are read Left to Right. This was originally a Japanese RAW so its Right to Left.
My knowledge of their school uniforms is based off of 219 and I remembered them being a dark blue with a red bow thing but I didn't go back and look so i could be wrong.
That goes for Aoko and Keiko's eyes too. They are both dark blue in that episode so until the Magic Kaito anime comes out and i see what colors they actually are using for them i'll just stick with these colors.
Once again i attempted a bronze statue... and once again i failed.
Yes the original english translation of this had it as "Phantom Thief KID" buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut It sounds stupid to me when they say Phantom Thief in the Dub so i changed and will always change it to Kaitou KID.
I always wondered... how did KID manage to find socks the same color as his shirt and hat?

I don't think I saw it the first few times I read it either, but then I went through it again and found it. I'd tell you what volume it was in but I don't really know... most likely volume 3 or 4 though.

Cool! You should colour more of the Magic Kaito RAWs... the translations are always so small. And 'Phantom Thief Kid' grates on my nerves as well. Kaitou Kid is also alliterative, which helps.

Thanks! I found a quite a few that I plan to color soon. Though the place I am getting the RAWS from only has volumes 3 and 4.
Yeah I appreciate the translators/scanlators that did the original translations but they are so small! (plus I get easily confused when it switches back and forth between left to right and right to left.)
I understand that phantom thief is the literal translation of Kaitou but Kaitou KID sounds so much better.

Urgh, I understand your plight when it comes to reading directions. I sometimes got the same with others, even DC at times when I was reading old files online.
Volumes 3+4 are good. Volume 1 has already been updated, I think. And the ones you've got are with Hakuba, Akako and when it starts to tun into Better Art. Which is good.
Kaitou works better wtih Kid. Phantom Thief works better (sometimes) with Dark (of DNAngel), but only because Dark's full name is in English. But even then it's stilted.
