Have I mentioned that I love twitchy pasty scientists? What is in his hair?! Are those electronical probes going into his brain? If they are I bet he put them there himself.

Hahaah kinda reminds me of the tim burton 1982 animated short character "Vincient". A kid who thought he was a mad scientist who eventually went mad and died of a heart attack. Anyways this is good. 10/10

Vincent was nice when his aunt came to see him,
But imagined dipping her in wax for his wax museum...

Hmmm... yes.
Just for god's sake whatever you do don't fall asleep in his lab. You'd wake up with an extra limb or something.
if you were lucky.

aw, thankee! I'm really glad you like it, specially as your designs are always so beautifully... pulled together, just understated enough.
Hee, yes, the band-aid. Gregory... tends to have at least one somewhere. Because his personal trainer is a killer robot.
It seemed like a good idea at the blueprint stage!

Of course he has better things to do than brush his hair.
He has to stick pins in his hair with that time.
(PS, I gotta ask: What material do you use that make your drawings so nice? It looks like pencil to me, but considering how dark the darks are, it makes me suspect that you've got another technique going on. Also, what technique do you use to scan/scanner do you use? I think I might want to invest in whatever you're using.)

I cheet. ^___^ I drew this one with 2b pencil on sketch paper, but after I scan I play with the levels to make the blacks blacker, put in another multiply layer, and paint all the bits i want to be dark with a middling grey. There's actually two different greys in this- darker for his clothes and hair, lighter for his goggles and around his eyes.

Ooh, you should make a tutorial for that. I'm terrible when it comes to messing with levels.

I pretty much get the pencil art in photoshop, open the Levels palette, and drag the middle slider to the right until it looks dark enough, bearing in mind the multiply layer will make it darker.

Nooooooooo... not yet.
dA isn't supposed to know about the wonders of Gregory Grey yet Dx
I'm in the process of finding as similar of a jacket as I can, before I result to having to make one.
Then I was going to take pictures of me dressed like him.
I love him, and I wanted to surprise people/you with my fanatic obsessions towards a still somewhat lesser-known character xP
at any rate, Gregory is amazing and both this picture and the "unamused" picture make me very very happy inside.

Well I tend to become instantly curious about your new character designs... and when I saw these ones I just couldn't get enough of them... and with the stringy black hair, and fashionable outfit... I just couldn't resist. I knew if I got the right coat and messed my hair up, I could atleast attempt to pull off bringing him to life in silly pictures.
He's just a really awesome character design, and I can't wait to find out more about him. You're very mysterious with the amount of information you release about any specific thing.

you pretty much are xP
Everytime you create something, and show it to dA, you only give out little bit of information at a time. We get a small sense of who the character is, and his emotions and stuff, but we're left wondering... what is this person's world like, who are it's enemies, what is this person trying to accomplish, and then I get soooooo interested in the character/story.
You, miss, are a character tease !
haha
