When I was little one of my greatest dreams was to own everything beautiful. Yeah, I was spoiled.

What I wanted was land-just to say I owned everything on it. It wasn't for the property in terms of value it was for the view. A place I could see with a gorgeous sunset behind an ocean or the view of rocky mountains from the tallest peak or swinging rope bridge or my own island to discover something beautiful and going on the adventure of a lifetime in the process.

I'm sorry, sounds silly but seeing the figure standing before the mountain range made me think of those years and dreams. I haven't really caught any incredible views like in person (that and I haven't ever owned anything as great and majestic either-there 's always someday, I guess. )

The mountains are so realistic and I love the scale. You can really feel the distance between the person and the mountains and what type of a treck it must be for him. Despite it being cold and snowy and life threatening-I don't know. I think that is the type of scenery able to make anyone forget their own worries and struggles due to sheer awe.

Awesome! Snow is so wonderful... I live in the south and we never get any, but I went to pennsylvania in the winter once.. it was so awesome... It looks like the Misty mountains in Fellowship of the ring.

I, too, like many others, thought this was a photo Excellent work on the haze and overall lighting. The tiny figure adds so much interest to this too. The second I noticed it is when a sense of story begins to unfold.

I love how simple and soft this is. Myself, I have a hard time painting such lovely landscapes without some huge figure in the center mucking it all up. lol

That's funny! The photo I used as a ref has my mom very prominently in it. I'd considered adding a larger person, but decided on a tiny one instead.
