Wow. This is beautiful. Hakubaikou, your artwork was amazing. Probably still is. Hope you lived a happy life, and an even happier one where you are.

What are you on about?! It's fantastic! Maybe it's not what you intended but that doesn't mean it can't be genius!

If that was a real place. I would want to go and spend at lest 3 weeks there.

OFF COURSE. I agree with that. It would be like living in a dream world, I dont think there are many real places that can compare with that.

Yeah, that's true. And if there was a real place like that, you'll have to get a license to even see it.

Wow--you're an art machine lately! (or maybe it's because I haven't logged in much, so I'm getting a big dose of people I watch...maybe both?)
Great job with those trees. I have a picture I'm working on with trees but it's definitely not my forte'. >_<

OOoo this is lovely! I really like the little house at the top.
The only thing that stands out to me a little bit is the second mini waterfall, it seems a little, I don't know what the word would be, stiff? On the turn it's not quite as fluid as the one above it. But that's tiny compared to how awesome everything else is ^^
And oh, totally random but, do you go around gaia anymore?

It may be something unintended, but it's very lovely. The front foliage seems a bit off, but behind it is just lovely; I adore good painted landscapes.

Haha! Oh no, no, no. I've got plenty of pics that went abysmally wrong that I won't even post as a scrap. ^_^

This is a really nice shot. I am curious - what were you going to do though that turned into this instead?

hakubaikou In reply to Fairytwister [2008-10-05 21:27:14 +0000 UTC]
It was supposed to be a closer shot, not quite so wide. I wanted a more green palette. And I wanted this series of pagodas down the mountains at irregular intervals with a couple of narrow bridges spanning between the gorge. And at the bottom-most bridge, I was going to have a pavillion with people sitting there and a ribbon dancer dancing outside of it.

ahhh, yeah - this is a big long shot. What about doing it in panoramic and not portrait view?

hakubaikou In reply to Fairytwister [2008-10-05 21:41:00 +0000 UTC]
Hmm, there's a thought.
The original picture in my head was actually even more vertically oriented than this one. Part of it was the motion of the ribbons. They were vertical.
I don't know. I swear, I'm going to be 90 by the time I can accurately capture the images in my head. ^_^

you know, you might be able to work panoramically and then later go back and extend the picture up? It's more an issue of being able to work with the space you have in front of you, ...

It's really nicely drawn even though it didnt turn out to be what you wanted....
