Composition based on this beautiful, viscerally emotional sketch by Kathe Kollwitz ([link] ). She was a German expressionist artist, and hands down one of my favorites.
I <3 my new light box! I actually have real pencils now, too! It makes making a clean colored copy so much easier.
Maddie and Danny Fenton belong to Butch Hartman and Nickelodeon.

Painful, yes. Probably a lot less pretty and idealized than this picture makes it out to be. Resolution is never this tidy in real life.

This is a scenario where Maddie finds out Phantom's identity too late.
It might make more sense if you've read my fanfic ([link] ), though I don't really count this as "canon"; it's just a "might be".
