a haiga collaboration with =mr-twingo . his original image can be found here: [link]

thanks, mang!

the poem is a haibun [link] :

mitch and boan

its hard to find quantum resonance, the music of the spheres, through the omnipresent didgeri-drone of the necromantic-manmade-leylines coarsing with the milk and blood of our mother and the energies derived from their sacrifice at the cyclopian altars of industry.

i'd rather
my walks be rural
in setting.

acceding to my usual habit of paying
more attention to the message than
the container, Mr Nakes:

thinking of our global situation(s) from
a nonzero sum aspect, we cannot go
back to the 'good old days'. there are
too many of us, requiring too many
replenish-able and non-replenish-able
resources. 'if' global warming does not,
through neo-con mismanagement,
mean a die off of a third of mankind by
the end of this century, we will have
saved ourselves through a greater
consideration of systems management
and advancements in technology, i
think.

humanity has, through the last few
decades immigrated into cities seeking
work, and hopefully, a better way of
life. most cities have not been made
to adapt by using proactive, designed
growth.

humans need leisure time, natural and
esthetically pleasing environments,
among their other basic needs. we
'are' learning. maybe not fast enough
as yet, but we are learning.

we humans tend to devide ourselves
into two major types, [almost like two
separate species, both of which have
been symbiotically necessary], mostly
cooperators, plus a self-advancing
set of aggressors, [type A persons].
the latter needs to be made to
understand and accept a simple meme,
that we 'are' all in this together, basic
nonzero sum win-win evolutionary
theory.

i take your haiga as posing a question:
how to we adapt our world to what we
have evolved to become? actually our
planet has plenty of natural, not yet
spoiled, spaces. what has been spoiled
can be recovered, if we apply ourselves
to what is truly for the general good.

IMO, the problems lie with those who
only see life as competition.

watch. my soapbox folds down to pocket
size. i got it on Amazon!
