This was an assignment last semester's illustration class! We were allowed to do pretty much whatever we wanted to do for this assignment, so of course I decided to draw one of my birds (her name is Growlie and she is evil sometimes) about to take a chunk out of someone's hand! I'm pretty proud of this.It was done mostly in Painter, with some concrete texture, a scanned feather texture, and level adjustments added in Photoshop.

Seriously, always when you post you seem to take HUGE leaps of improvement. Just look at all those tiny little details and that very nice fabric-y texture contrasting with the paintery foreground. So niiice. Not even mentioning the wonderful COLORRRS. NOM.

My first thoughts when I saw this were "Damn that's awesome!!!" I really love the details and the way you painted the feathers. The textures really add a lot to the picture as well.

I still love the composition and colors of this to death. This is one of your defining pieces of art you've done to date, and it's awesome as hell.
