Everyone in tumblr draws bloody Armins so I wanted to draw one too because I love my fierce baby. This is also kinda inspired by a tumblr user's speculation on the symbolism of the candles in this part of the new opening (all but one candle are blown out): even in hard and tricky situations, Armin is the only one who's got a clear (or clear enough) mind to think out a plan that will save people in the end...Seriously though, I don't understand those people who hate on Armin and say he's a wimp and a useless crybaby. Seriously? SERIOUSLY..? um... excuse me, are we watching the same series...? ´__´

Crybaby? Well who ever say that. I like to see them be stuck in a world with only medieval-level technology while facing 50-ft tall giants with only two katanas and a steam jetpack and see how well they turn out.

Thank you for explaining that. I hadn't really understood the real meaning of this part of the new opening, and i didn't like it, but now i understand really better ! ^^
You're right, Armin is not "only" a crybaby, even if he's often crying, he's also the only one who found a plan to use Eren's Titan in the first time, to reach the gaz room, and to put the rock in the wall, and..... erf, i don't know if you read the manga or only watch the anime so i won't tell other things. ^^"
In all case, he's important and absolutely NOT useless !

No problem! Though it's only a fan speculation, I think that's the best explanation for it.
The thing is that many people truly hate him for crying, but what would you do in those kind of situations? Unlike Eren and Mikasa, Armin hasn't experienced all those horrid things they have. Sure, he has lost his family too, but he hasn't seen them killed right before his eyes. And to add to that, he has been bullied when he was a child and that has made him very self-conscious. He might be a bit of a crybaby but useless? Nope. He's far from that.
For now I've only been watching the anime (I will read the manga at some point though), so thanks for considering that! I've already gotten a lot of spoilers though.. ó u ò

I'm sure Armin will be a really great piece for reco corp when he will be more experienced with real fight and its horror. I can't wait to see him growing ! ^^
