...sorta...I messed up the clouds, and it instead looks like he's trying to escape a giant marshmellow, and it has tenticles wrapped around him, trying to not let him leave.

It is very true that, especially when drawing, both start off, exactly the same way. They both fall under the stereotypical basic "round super robot" body.
But of course, when you start getting into mechanics ect... they differ in a lot of ways... although share some very similar attacks.
