Description On account of the dAv5 flash bug where you have to actually download the file and mess up its apperance to see the flash, I have decided I'm going to have to use my webhost to hold the file for you, I do this regrettably because the file is 1.2mb and my host isnt as fast as dA, howver I have a great preloader you will enjoy lots!

ok, so I am kind of wandering how well peoples pcs can handle this, I have switched it to default to medium quality but it still lags a little with me in the browser

anyhoo, I finished the western cliffs and added some grass (which needs fixing up so it lags less and could do with being less... clumpy). all thats left now for these areas is a few graphical touch ups in the foreground and some noticable landmarks in the distance so you dont get lost or forget just which cliffface you are hanging off.

yep, so the controlls are arrow keys, she will grap onto ledges her hands get near, and my advise is to jump off everything!

edit: what the heck, I'll make a few modifications and just upload the swf to dA as well...
edit: ohnoes, I cant do that because it will only let me upload an image when you edit a deviation that is an image without a preview... oh well, just click the link

This is, without a doubt, the greatest game I've ever played. Enemies and weapons are too cliche, and you have created an amazing, albeit incomplete, game here. I think that you should create different color schemes for different areas though. Such as, if you create a valley-like area, make everything greenish. Just my two cents. A question: What are your plans for this game?

Great game, and graphics, I'd like eniemies but seeing how you do your work, If you say no enemies, I trust you. I'm not sure if more people are hyped about the next Madden, or this game, honestly, you should sell this. anyway, I'm hoping to be first commentor.

I know, ive had this been suggested to me, but im not sure I could actually have any decent reason for it, unless of course you want to roll just for the sake of it, and if thats the case let me know so I can try and incorporate it into the game

well I have been trying to think of a way of displaying place names/symbols or hints and things like that without some random text just popping up on the screen, I figure she could crouch down to think, and then her thoughs are displayed in a little bubble or something, might need a little tweaking, but I think it will fit into the game pretty nicely

Excellent work. You’ve pulled off an amazing peaceful and serene feeling with the game so far especially with the music you’ve selected. It has a strange dream like quality. The slow moving clouds and swaying grass definitely add to this. It does seem a little strange though when you transfer between screens and the clouds are in the same position.

I’ve had no performance issues even when I cranked up the quality to high. I haven’t run into the wall bug either.

I like how you’ve really made use of the included wall hanging ability in terms of level design.

No enemies or objectives? It’s not what I was expecting but I quite like the idea. I look forward to seeing how this progresses.

Looks really really cool. But I broke it. and ended up inside a wall and wasnt able to get out. I don't think it was a secrete cavern or anything, I was jumping up a ledge and pressing right to keep going up and ended up through the wall.

If I can give you any more info I'll try.

Other than that, looks REALLLLLLLLLLLLLLY really cool! Great work

I just render out the character animation as a series of .png images (so transparency is preserved) put them in a movie clip inside the player movie clip, the code checks if you are running, and tells it to play those frames

Runs fine, high quality on my pc

(that would be, athlon xp 2600+ @ 2.02 ghz, and 512 megs of pc2700 ram)
