Description Maybe I'm not through with Gnarlwood, I guess. It was not planned like this, but I like it. Another work where I successfully avoided to draw characters
I'm really a loser drawing anatomy ...

PLEASE: don't rip, don't claim it for your own! Use for personal amusement is totaly ok.

It's sooo gorgeous! I especially love the spiderwebs. How exactly did you go about making them (if you don't mind me asking...)? The whole piece is really amazing. Personally though, I miss the heart lamps haha. Guess I'm kinda a girly girl in that way. But I also think they might've added more warmth somehow to the other one. I'm not sure... But STILL! Love em both! ^.^;

Thank you very much!

Well the web is made quiet simple: I just thought about how spiders do. First I drew the radial strings that go from the canter to the outside, attaching at branches and other objects in reach. Then start at the center and connect every string by drawing a line from string to string and go outwards in a spiral. I did everything with a harder 1px brush. Finally I added some shiny dots on the strings with a soft airbrush and a brush that spits out some glistering stars. That's it. To enhance the real look you couls us the Liquify tool in PS to bend the strings slightly. This gives you the impression of an older web that's already bent by wind and gravity. But this was an idea I had after finishing the pic ...

Mmm, I'm thinking this is the darker corner of Gnarlwood, where the witches and the trolls live.

Marvelous work.

To be honest, this is rather the "Beverly Hills" part of Gnarlwood ...
Thank you very much!

Thank you very much. This will not be the last Gnarlwood pic. I have some special feelings about this place, but I can't tell what it is, yet.

Don't be afraid, Gnarlwood is a kind place, where nobody gets hurt (seriously ). After a while you just lose yourself, like changing identities in a dream. Finally you turn into your own fantasies striving through the woods forever. Then you're happy, because you're no longer aware of yourself.

Very beautiful... although I'm not sure that I'd want to get lost in there... Still, I love your lighting and your contrast between the dark, gnarled trees in the foreground and light and greenery in the back. Very nice indeed!

You're welcome.Gnarlwood sounds like a pretty cool place... almost Labyrinth-esque, in a way (which is definitely a good thing, as I love that movie )
