Last week's Futurama episode "The Late Philip J. Fry" was very well received by the fans...I laughed so hard at the homage scene to "Planet of the Apes" where Fry came across a series of Statues of Liberty, each one representing a future culture. This idea hit me as I was working on another Statue of Liberty sketch [link] The more I watch the Simpsons, the more I enjoy it...I own the crossover book, and I like mashing them up together with Futurama characters. I don't know what this new world is like that they've time traveled to, but you can bet that it's not messy and it's well organized.Related content

it's such a nice blending of the two fandoms...and the Simpsons fans have been so great. They've got the crossover book, which is phenominal if you haven't seen it, but it would be great to see some crossover stuff in the shows

OMG, the crossover book? Go to your local bookstore and look in the humor section where the Simpson/Futurama books would be. Not only is it great fun, but it's chock full of sketches and additional drawings from other artists. They also have a "British Invasion" in the book which includes, among others, Tom Baker. I bought mine while in Atlanta, and it always sits next to my drawing table.

I saw the episode last week, it was pretty good. They couldn't look for backward time machine, it took two big bangs to get back in their time.

I've been loving the show...most fans thought it got off to a rocky start, but I've thoroughly enjoyed it. You'll enjoy too when you see it...enjoy Deutschland!

There's always something fun to see, even in the not-as-good episodes. I think out of about 76 episodes now, there's only about 4 that I'm not wild about...that's pretty darn good!
