I...don't think Donovan would ever kill Felicia. I mean, if he can sense the evil in Darkstalkers, then shouldn't he sense that Felicia isn't as evil as the others?

Well, that's the "Graz" cartoon, and I don't think most of what was in that was even REMOTELY canon. Of course, there might be other sources for this, so I'll give you this one, even though I think otherwise.
Yeah, she's a darkstalker, but I see Felicia and Donovan's relationship (when I try not to make it romantic) as being similar to that of Van Helsing and the Frankenstein's Monster from the film "Van Helsing". Viz, " Evil may have created, it, left its mark on it, but it is not ruled by evil, and so I cannot kill it".
