the heart?
What do
men
pray for
in that
darkness,
in that
stillness?
where all
lies naked
and fragile
beneath
our skins?
And what
is close?
What is
inside
a mind
or behind
a heart?
Longing
or lust
or just
deny -
how we
lie...
So close
to the heart
and yet
still apart.
I put
my hand
on your
chest -
can feel
the beat,
the warmth,
the excitement
there -
it is hours
only
then still
lonely
maybe more,
gone to
silence
as ocean
to shore -
maybe more
but not
a lot
or not
the answer...
And what is
home?
when past
that hour,
we remain
alone?

Moments of intimacy followed by hours of silence. We have mixed-up emotions and we can all be hard to work out. We often neglect those we love. Close yet distant. It is a sad story that exists across the world. Well expressed.

Well, Yes.It is a dark mysterious silence around the heart.
And rarely, the soul finds its way through the secret passages to the heart.
Often, it is only touching the surface of the water.
A brief reflection with rings of pain.
And the rest is silence that heard none,a silence between the closed heart,s.
