I found the pdf for creating this on the net, and built it in a few hours over a couple of days.It is a model of Metal Gear Rex, and is approx 10cm tall

It was Staple's standard A4 paper, 160gsm.
Some of the parts were a little tough, but by no means the most difficult I've done.

you know, I tried to make this and had the hardest time. I had to blow up the pieces in photoshop because some of them were so tiny and intricate, my fingers just couldn't make the folds or glue it right

I believe those scans came from a E3 press package back when Snake Eater was announced so they are featuring the old Shagohod design. People didnt even knew the mech was named Shagohod yet

I remember seeing info on this on the Internet. This assembles into (besides Rex) the Scud Missile Launcher-esque prototype concept for what would become the Shagohod, right?

yeah. unfortunately there is no instructions on how to assemble the Shagohod model. It was not included in the press package for some reason. The MechWarrior models are in PDF format so I;ve uploaded them for you on Rapidshare in ZIP archive with the official FASA blueprints of Mad Cat, Loki and Vulture if you dont have them: [link]
