Description Today I went to an Exotic Cat Rescue Facility and it was a lovely day among the cats! These folks do a wonderful job and currently have over 100 rescued cats...all maintained as a non-profit facility. Photography was extremely difficult due to all of the fencing, which is of course very necessary.

Here is the roarer! And he did make a lot of noise, since it was feeding time!!!! Isn't he gorgeous?

Ah yes! I could have screamed!!!! I intend to go back and try again, especially when it isn't so hot out. This day, the other people there on the tour where in their 70's or 80's and the guide and I were REALLY afraid the one gentleman wasn't going to make it back! So I was very distracted due to the other tour participants. Another trip is definitely in order! I'm sure I can improve on THESE! These are simply terrible in my opinion but I wanted to give the facility the exposure!

Oh, it was amazing AND incredible!!!! He's wonderful! I was just glad that ONE shot of him turned out...even though it isn't the best in the world....

It's a much better shot than any I could have gotten. And it looks like he was on the move, so I think it's pretty impressive that you managed to catch his face like that. He's so handsome!

You're very observant! Yes, he was on the move and, due to the fencing, I had to shoot on manual mode. So, it was quite tricky to get focused and shoot before it was too late!

I bet! I always have trouble taking pictures through fences. No matter what I do, I always seem to end up with a metal bar right through the center of my photograph. And my camera auto-focuses, so I can't imagine how precise the timing would have to be to do the whole thing manually. You did great!
