Description
Dhondarra turned, and stopped, the instinct of breathing quite forgotten, for what reared before her was a godly sight. An ancient temple, all of grey mud-brick that was going green with age and mold, stood crumbling amongst the foliage of the forest, its stern face still somehow proud even as it scowled out from between the shattered pillars of its porch. And right through the painted floor grew a vast, branching tree that seemed to be all limbs and no trunk; from its base were scattered chasmic cracks like the rays from the sun.
