it's not perfect, but I'm quite proud of it!
you may notice purply is shaking on his way up; that is intentional, to give it some.. I dunno.. power I think..
it is pretty fast, and some frames should be slower; but if I add a delay the clouds don't move smoothly anymore >.<
so basically, yeah, I'm lazy

ok, I just explained this to someone else:
To use it as a dA avatar, click on download and save the image to your computer. Then hover over your username in the bar on the top of the deviantart homepage and choose 'settings'. Then click 'identity' in the left menue, click 'change avatar' and select the image you saved. Then scroll down and click ok/save.
oh, and could you put a link in your signature or on your profile telling that I made your avatar? you don't HAVE to but it would be nice ^^

the idea was, that he's just jumping very high, and then unexpectedly bumps into something above him; which then, in my mind, became the well known mario box

I love the mario-block/box jokes XD I hated them when they bumped out of nowhere, only then when I needed to jump over holes and stuff XD Totally useless and disgruntling XD

For a first emote, this is really good!
I love the bounce and it's really smooth. Some things I could suggest though, the shading could have been better. There are lots of nice shading tutorial here; try looking at some of them

meh, I was just lazy for the shading. I know I could've done better, but I decided I wanted more shading than just a darker line of one pixel.
I did make every pixel myself in MS paint, so I'm quite proud of that! no gradients n stuff
it was just a trial for me honestly, to see if I could do it.. worked out quite well! i'm not gonna stop emoting, so next time I'll spend more time on the shading, thanks

well it was mainly because the only other software I have on my computer is corel draw, and I downloaded ulead gif thingy for the animation itself.
I loved doing this, and it didn't even cost me a lot of time

Oh yeah, I heard that GIMP is also good for making animation. You should try that out. It's a freeware
