What is "Automatic Surrealism", exactly? It seems pretty abstract to my untrained eye.

Automatic surrealism relies much on the pure chance formation of archetypal gestures...see wikipedia for a much definite definition...or see the works of pollock, miro, the decalcomania of ernst,dali's ink works and many great examples...Automatism is pure psychic production of chance forms free from the reign of logic...
