To be honset, I am not too familiar with Alan. (I couldn't tell you if Alan was the one who had the disease or not!) I watched the musical and read a translation, but I was never very fond of them or familiar with them. I might consider, but I would rather play a character I could really get into or at least know more about. Are there any other openings? <-- is certain favourite characters were taken long ago.
