Mulch is a fairly level-headed Viking, often acting as the straight man to Bucket's stupidity. He also seems to be goodhearted and helpful, aiding the Gang in any ways he can. However, he sometimes has a tendency to take an advantage of Bucket's somewhat clueless nature, and condescends over the latter in order to make himself appear more leaderly and sensible to others, especially using Bucket as a scapegoat to pin his mistakes on. This does not, however, seem to meant with malicious intent, and is instead rather a comedic value for the viewers on the duo's relationship.
