Happy New year, Thought I would upload the 2nd part of my Material Orb studies now that I've fully completed them.

Unlike the 1st group of Material orbs which I created based on various types of man-made materials such as various types of metals and stones that have been carved by hand, this series of material balls is based on natural forms (well except for the Jelly material ball that was created as a form of practice towards painting surfaces that are wet or have a more liquid form. Though it technically could count as a natural based material ball, as jelly is made from gelatine which comes from bone marrow).

While I did enjoy painting the moon orb and the jelly orb, due to how they incorporated various bold hues of colour into their designs, I found painting the fur orb, feather orb and skin orb more difficult to paint due to having not much experience adding textures to my work digitally and also because i haven't approached these types of subjects before in one of my pieces of work, though I hope that with practice I will properly master painting these materials and textures in my future works.

All these orb studies were done using Photoshop

Since I really enjoyed painting these material orbs, I might plan on painting different types of material balls based on different types of fabric and materials like Wool, Wax, Crystal etc.
