There something strangely hypnotic about this photo, it’s so simple, but the subtle detail and textures give an silent undertone like the wind rustling the sand unnoticed. The light glares with a burning intensity over that parched expanse, casting strange shadows in the shallow lines. It’s almost too surreal, like it can’t quite be real or shouldn’t. The darkness and light in the image give a sense of struggle, the struggle for survival, life and death. I feel a little unsettled as I look at this scene, barren and sheer nothingness on those ever changing dunes. Those strange patterns in the sand drawing the eyes, becoming lost in the maze, wandering aimlessly up that hill… Very strange indeed. And very powerful.

Thank you so much for your comment. I agree, it's very surrealistic. Minimalistic, too. I guess that's what makes it powerful.

My pleasure. Yes, there is a lot of power in tose simple lines. Hard to truly understand, but it's there.
