I started this painting almost 15 years ago as something to do in between paintings. Never really took it seriously--just kind of played with different color combinations and styles. Then it got "lost" when we moved 10 years ago and recently "found" when searching for other past works. Thought it might be fun to finally finish it.

I'm so glad you finished this piece

I just love the vibrant colors that you use in your paintings. I'm too uptight with the whole "photorealism" thing to experiment with different colors.  I SO admire people who can use a broader spectrum of colors

thanks!  It's really not so hard--just replace one color with its opposite, or another equally good substitute.

I am a fan of Matisse, Gauguin, VanGogh, and others who use color boldly and with a sense of abandon.  Also, I don't use a palette so most of the mixing of colors happens on the canvas.
