My pleasure Sarah. I want to leave more cmments on your images, as much of your work really strikes a chord with me. It's poetic, beautiful, and filled with meaningful emotion and I have a hard time articulating a response from my feelings from it. And that's exactly what a great artist and her work is supposed to do-leave you speechless.Keep up the great work.

Well now you've left me speechless, thankyou so much, I really don't know what to say.
That means a lot, and its also very encouraging to hear, when art evokes emotions and feelings from people I think its done its job 100%.

Thankyou Drew, very much, your thoughts are very much appreciated.

This is a very dramatic picture... I like the small white flowers in the grass at your feet, and your bare back, looking into the sunset. Yep, if feels like a scene from a, possibly tragic, story--but I won't go into the story I'd write about it...

It also reminds me of the album "The Hour Before Dawn" by the band Solas--I don't know if you know them but if you like quality, tasteful and understated Celtic music (something a lot more genuine than Michael Flatley), check it out. It is beautiful music.

I'll definately check them out. I love finding new music. thankyou!

I don't mind if you wrote a long piece of story here, i'll always read it I know you've got better things to do tho!
Thankyou for your views and thoughts, once again, they are very much treasured

Hey, if you do get ahold of any Solas, do get back to me with a genuine critical opinion--I'd be curious to hear what you think about it, whether you like them, etc.

Someone described this photo as "magical", which is a much better word than what I was thinking, which was creepy (although in a good way). It makes me think that it's dusk and this girl randomly appeared in a field ahead of me- and then there's this possibility that she'll see me and follow me home, so I quickly chicken out and run back to the safety of artifical light and air conditioning.

Perhaps, instead of "creepy"... eerie and melancholy? A very effective photo manip, you can tell by all the lyric references that it's stuck chords.

Lemme see...impressions. Mmm.. I really really like it first of all. Makes me think of a person who has hurt someone else so extensively that it really cannot be fixed. Standing on the edge, shouting out for forgiveness. When really, the only forgiveness she needs is from herself.

The twilight feel is amazing. And the colours.

Reading through the comments that have been posted already, i noticed you said that you didn't put your name as model at first 'cause you were a little embarassed... you shouldn't be, it's a very beautiful capture (not to mention your back in incredible)... there are so many different ways to interpret this piece, which just shows how wonderful it is. good work leaves room for the imagination to run free

It's getting harder to comment on your artworks, mainly because many of them are of a higher quality these days and they also have more emotion and ideas behind them, even if some of that is just the way I see them personally. You know how I feel about this image before I even say it, I'm in love with your art as much as the artist herself. This piece of work is like a homage to Gone with the Wind, but with a sense of realism. The colours aren't perfect like in a painting, the body is beautiful but not a charicture like that of scarlett in her corset, it's just a 'fair dinkum' approach. The pose is strong with a sense of independence but with a feminine tenderness as well, it would be impossible to not love how the figure is offest by that soft pastel sky and its blazing colour hidden behind an almost linen like haze. A beautiful piece of work Sarah, simply gorgeous.

And finally I come round to your comment. And what a comment it is. Seriously, when I read this I smiled from ear to ear, I will always continue to smile because of what you mean to me. I'm glad you like it, I'm glad that you put so much thought into your comments. For you to like this, its all that matters.

Its still good though

Yes, I'm not sure which one I like better. I tried to have the colours similar, yellow and warm looking, but it just wouldn't work. Thanks. I'm not sure I'll change it. Thanks for the fav on the other, much appreciated!!!

Lovely...

The colors and the light is sufficient to deepen to the mood of the atmosphere...

I don't know it that's a nebula or jet planes smoke...but that's beautiful

Keep up the great work

I haven't commented on your lovely deviations in ages; I'm so very sorry. Don't worry, you're not the only one...I've been feeling overwhelmed or something and have been extremely remiss in commenting. Now I've got everything cleared out of my inbox and can begin afresh.

Like the other one, this has a classical sort of feel, although this has an early-morning coldness instead of the first one's midday late summer warmth. I love the way you're looking up at that streak in the sky, as if it's a symbol of something or maybe something in itself...someone leaving, perhaps. The grunginess makes the picture seem a little old; dug out of a trunk somewhere, perhaps--and it's also somewhat magical: that beautiful long grass and those playful wildflowers peeping out from amongst it, not to mention that amazing sky.

Oh, and I forgot to say that as soon as I saw this deviation and its title the song "Ariel" by October Project started running through my head:

The day is breaking now
It's time to go away
I'm so afraid to leave
But more afraid to stay
Forgive me
For leaving
The sadness in your eyes
Forgive me

I love you
But you are all I know
Forgive me

This seems to remind everyone of songs. *laughs*

Beautiful piece
As for a meaning? Well it kinda goes with the song I have on right now.
They follow me home, disturbing my sleep.
But I'll find a place, place where they cannot find me.
Maybe I'm lost, and maybe I'm scared.
But too many times I've closed the doors behind me.

She's done something that she regrets and has hurt someone she was in love with, and they with her and now she's longing for them to forgive her and to come back to her. She waits, every day ...

I love every detail of it! (oh, btw, since when your name is 'no comment'? or am I wrong??)

It does look like a painting, and maybe the title has something to do with the fire in the background? Just my imagination, it flies too much sometimes
I adore the grainyness of it, and it gives me a freedom feeling. I so wish I could live in such a place...

It looks perfectly... I your work, hun!!

Elerinwen In reply to Elerinwen [2005-07-09 03:05:15 +0000 UTC]

I feel dumb... When I said 'fire' i meant firework... at least thats the first thing i thought about when i saw the vertical line in the back...

Gregoria In reply to Elerinwen [2005-07-09 02:47:27 +0000 UTC]

My name was "no comment" because I was a lil bit embarrassed, hehe. But you knew it was me anyway. I changed it
Oh what an amazing comment you have given me ...
The background could be fire, I never thought of that, it was just the colour of the sky ... great idea though
I put an old texture over it and changed the tones, I'm glad you like the way it turned out, thankyou so much for everything!!!!

I think the title goes on well with the meaning of the photo. The girl looks tired and sad, and she's carrying some old photos on her hand. I think she feels bad about something she had done or she was bad-threated for someone. Anyway, when I see the photo, I feel like knowing exactly what she feels. Great job !!!!

To me, it looks like she's committed some sort of sin (or she thinks she has) and she's asking for forgiveness. But the person isn't going to forgive her..so she's just going to go away forever.

Lovely piece. I love how the photo looks like a painting.
