Little over a week until The Force Awakens! Of course, I'm not going to see it until the 22nd. Those opening tickets sold out as fast as Han shot Greedo! *Badum crash*
No, I'm not a huuuge Star Wars nerd, but my brother and I would watch the movies all the time when we were kids. We also had plenty of toys and video games from the series. But what young boy didn't? And who isn't excited for this movie? I mean, come on!
This just started out with me wanting to draw Kylo Ren, then it turned into this whole ridiculous drawing. All I wanted to do was get the point across by focusing on color, figure and overall atmosphere and emotional feel. But then I ended up spending way more time on it then intended...oh well!
Loved loved loved drawing his lightsaber! And I only found out he doesn't have a billowing long cape/cloak after I drew it...but I kept it cuz it looks cool, so suck it!
And look, I even made my own Star Wars logo using my name. I would've gone with "The Art Awakens" but that was already an official art thing that Star Wars did, so I settled on "The Force For Art"
I'm planning to do a lot more Star Wars art in anticipation for the 7th movie. That's why I made the logo!
I just hope I have time to do as much as I wanted...wish I didn't spend so long on this...
