I'm guessing I can post this, since it's going to be displayed in the 2016 Art show XDWell here it is; the final result of my Fine Art project on cars!! This was done over two days in early May 2016.
From my own photography, taking elements of art deco, photorealism and design sketching.
I don't know if I like this as much at the others I've done...??
Probably because there aren't any contrasting colours XD
Allocated time: 10 hours
Mediums used: Acrylic underpaint and oil paint on A2 MDF board

There's a strong sense of volume in this painting-especially in the car. It can be tricky to convey a vehicle without making it look like a model of that vehicle, or a plastic toy replica. It has a sense of heaviness and presence that a car should have. Secondly, the background is very developed. Tones of orange, yellow and blue fill the space. It's very sturdy. This keeps the background from looking like an after thought. Lastly, I'd like to point out the dress on the figure. The texture on it makes the fabric look velvety and luxurious. It adds to that art deco vibe. What I like about it the most, are the hints of blue in the dress. It has a slight reflective light that takes color from the car and the background. Artistic choices like that help to emphasize unity in the overall painting.

And you're right about the dress, it was an awesome velvety one that we found in a charity shop, and it suits her to a T, she looks so beautiful in it.
