It's an interesting idea that dwarwes have pointy ears, I like it! Briliant work,this shall learn me to draw facial expressions properly,cuz now i feel like theres something missing with mine

I always imagined dwarves with pointy ears, I don't know why. This portrait is inspired by a photo. That always helps with the facial expressions

This is beautifully done! I'm wondering if you'd allow me to post this picture on my website. I'm a fantasy author with my debut novel being released in June '11 and I'm working on a page on my website where I tell about all the different species in my world. This would fit perfect for my dwarves. Of course you'd get the credit

this picture has that kind of magnatism that The Bond has. out of all the pictures I've seen this one keeps pulling my attention back. It has this behign gradfatherly look, but the eyes say I could F-you up and steal your woman.

I wasn't aware they're small, but yes, I do picture dwarves with pointy ears for some reason. And by the way, I hate the huge (Warcraft-like) ears some people draw on elves. They're humanoids, not rabbits, and they're supposed to look elegant *frown*

I'm not particularly fond of the ears on the night elves and blood/high elves. The ears on my elves are somewhere in length between the warcraft elves and tolkien elves. Not too long, but not to small, jjust big enough to be noticeable.

Pencil is actually very easy to use, and a very expressive medium. The only problem is that most people get bored too fast. The details are everything.

I know, I love details... To discover them and to draw them. But pencil itself... For me it's too hard, especially the shading.

It just comes with practice. I don't have artistic education, I just do what I learned by myself. I'm absolutely sure you can do it too if you want, I saw your drawings and you definitely have some artistic sense there

I like the datails, and the way the hair looks. But I think the eye in the left should have not so strong reflection (that round white place) or at least smaller. It's just my opinion
