I can tell by the way you drew Xin she will be tough and a bit mischievous. Great character concept.

These look really cool! One thing though... the girl-and-a-robot-called-zeta has already been done, in the Zeta Project... Not criticizing, but it's what I first thought of after looking at the deviation. The name is the only similar thing, and I can see where it came from, seeing the other designs. You might want to think about changing the name though, because that series was so popular.

There are a lot of characters that share the same name and it doesn't have an affect on their reception by the audience.

Yes... However it might be infringing copyright, and who wants to be sued? It's not the audience I was worried about, it was lawyers.

Zeta is a letter in the Greek alphabet. So I doubt their is any copyright on that.
Plus the character(s ) has to have a very very close resemblance to the other existing character.
because it's a robot has no standing what so ever.
The only time you have to worry about Copyright Infringement in cartoons/comics is if you copy a character(s )
physical traits, story, and et cetera. Even then it's not a guarantee
that you will be sued. Some companies either won't notice or see any copyright violations and in some cases will see it as a homage and what not.
Besides Greene is in the business so he knows if he's crossing legal lines or not.
