<< It may take a little time, but sooner or later, everyone gets their happy ending. And so Love Is Magic comes to an end. Its been one heck of a ride I can tell you. The journey began back in the spring of 2018. We had just gotten into the show in 2017 and I can still remember when we first watched A Canterlot Wedding. After watching it I fell in love with Cadence and Shining Armor and really wanted to know more about them. And though we did see more of them throughout the show it never really went into how they met or how such a powerful love grew between them. (And no, the IDW comic definitely didn't cut it) So I took it upon myself to give Cadence and Shining Armor what I think they deserve. A true love story. And it was even a chance for me to test out my writing style. Many of you may not know this but for the past 11 years I've practice story telling and its always been my goal to make my writing feel real and for my characters to feel like people. This story turned into the perfect outlet for that and a chance for me to write a love story that didn't substitute actual character bond and chemistry for them being awkward around each other for the entire run time until they kiss once at the end without ever really earning it. Now, I have seen some people asking why the story's ending so soon so I'm going to address that. The thing is, I could go on for YEARS with this story. I could tell of the adventures of Shining Armor as Stern Stones student as he proves his worth through great trials and tribulations, or of Cadence learning to be a princess without her best friend there by her side. But the fact of the matter is that I have other original projects I have to work on. Projects I now feel confident in moving forward with. And though I love, love, love The story of Cadence and Shining Armor that I've made, I don't know if I could keep myself motivated doing fanfiction. And I would never want to start a project I couldn't finish and leave all you guys in the middle of a story without an end. So I think its best that I leave it off here with a bittersweet ending which we know will lead to a bright future for both of them. But before I conclude this I'd like to thank some people who really helped and encouraged me. Thank you for inspiring me with your amazing stories over the years and for your kind words whenever commenting. I really can't say it enough but thank you Thanks to when I was first started illustrating this comic I was hovering between posting it or just keeping it for myself. But then I met Allanah who was another hardcore Cadence and Shining Armor fan who I felt really understood them as I do. and it was then when I decided to begin posting it. I can honestly say that you helped make this comic come to life. And of course thanks to everyone who commented and favorited and provided fun conversations But now its time to say goodbye to Cadence and Shining Armor and for the first time in my life say The End...I've never ending a story before... Hello, jade here. I'm glad that you got a chance to finish reading the comic and that you loved it so much. it was a lot of fun to write and illustrate. As for being absent from devientart, I perfectly understand. I sort of quit deviantart after I was done illustrating love is magic. Partially because I had my own projects to work on and…. partially because the brony toxicity was beginning to take a toll on my mental well being and making it so I didn’t enjoy My Little Pony anymore. Thankfully the magic of the show has returned in full force since I started rewatching it with my family and distancing myself from the fandom. In fact this is the first time I've logged in this month to see if there was any good “Art” in the notifications. But there wasn't anything. Sighing I scrolled down to the comment notifications and you can imagine my happiness when I saw that you’d finished reading the rest of love is magic. Also thank you for your concern, me and my brother and family are doing great. Jaron is currently in a meeting to publish his first graphic novel and we’re both working on a current project called Lateefa Of Mirea. You may have noticed the characters talking about it during Love Is Magic. My attempt at a cameo I guess. And I'll be honest with you and say I'd like to make these stories too but the thing is I've got a lot of original graphic novel projects I'm doing currently so I wont really have time to make other pony comics.
Though for a while I was working on a script for a Prince Blue Blood story where Twilight befriends him. Unfortunately I probably wont finish it though :/

For once in my life I have no idea what to say. For years now I've read comics such as Dsana's shadow shard or others similar to it or even parts from the show, all of whom have brought tears to my eyes. Although I wanted to invoke strong emotion with my story I...I never really thought that I would. All I can say is I'm glad that the story was worth the read to you.

It's a strange fact that despite 99% or more of the population knowing what romantic love is (I have been assured, repeatedly) most people who write love stories don't appear to have any idea what they're talking about. It's almost like romantic love is a social construct that everybody interprets differently rather than an inherently distinct category . . . but perhaps that's not a view that anybody really ought to hold.

Hmm, at least we can say that the sroty is complete. I'm still waiting for some other comics to be finished but it probably ain't gonna happened at all. But I'm patient. VERY PATIENT.

For a bit we were throwing around the idea of ending it at the airship docks where Shining Armor is leaving and having them say goodbye there but it just didn't feel right. You know how sometimes an idea in your head sounds really good but then when you try to put it into practice it doesn't? That was the case here. I guess it just felt like we were drawing it out and just repeating ourselves because everything they were saying at the docks felt like they should be saying now instead of later. so we decided to end it here. But yeah it would have been nice to get to 100 pages

And yes I will be taking a break before illustrating it. That and the script isn't done yet (We've spent the past year and a half just working on the characters alone) so I couldn't even if I wanted to.

I did enjoy what the IDW came up with but this....is a masterpiece. I like this version better but both deserve there admiration. Cannot wait to see what else you come up with.
