literary I totally agree with you, because it'd have been so fitting for Shiro to get rid of Sendak⦠like all my literary analysis clases tell me that's the expected result.
but I happened to like this ending too. it's just like Hunk said: they survived thanks to the power of teamwork. they don't need to do everything by themselves because they have each other (like when Atlas protected Voltron and Voltron covered for Atlas)
...I thinkΒ that "teamwork" part wouldΒ have been more obvious if they had shown someone else besides Keith killing Sendak...like I'd have paid good money to see Allura there instead of Keith.

It would have been teamwork if the others had been there as well to take care of Sendak and not just Keith tbh
but what is done is done and we can say whatever we want, we are not going to be able to change what was shown to us in the cartoon. Even if we wanted something else because dang, I like Keith but the constant in him being the MC (when all five of them should be MC or even more so Shiro AND Lance because they're the first ones we see) is frankly annoying.
