Personality:
Friendly but rather quite. Ruth isn't very tactful and when she does speak she can be overly blunt and rude. She is not quick to judge others and loves hearsing people's history. She analyzes everyone around her, occasionally taking notes on observations. She can act rather cold to most people but is undyingly loyal, once she's decided your a friend it will take a lot to loose her trust. Selfishness is her big pet peeve. When she gets very anxious or stressed Ruth will end up very paranoid. She loves science and has wanted to study Pokemon since childhood but didn't get a chance until now because any wild ones she could find were far to dangerous. Now with her new pokemon partners, she tries to study their behavior and see the extent of their power. Ruth is strict with her pokemon in general and sees no reason why creatures that express a love for battle shouldn't be utilized in war.

Backstory:
Her father is a boat captain and her mother is a nurse. She also has a younger sister named Annabelle who's 16 that she's very close to. Her family life is good, but they weren’t happy with her running off to war, especially her little sister. She was raised going between the sunset city (Vermilion) and distant lands via her father's exploration vessel, so sea travel is familiar and comfortable to her. She saw places still feeling the effects of the great war and developed an animosity for Johto early on despite her parents attempt to teach empathy. She has always been talented at singing and playing the violin and her parents hope she can become a professional musician, tho it isn't her idea of a profession.

She had her first encounter with a pokemon by stumbling upon a dragonair nest, with a not so happy moma dragonair fighting for her eggs. Her father had to save her from the attack but ever since she became obsessed.

Her main reason for enlisting is to be able to work with pokemon but she's not entirely naïve. The idea of war terrifies her but she truly believes they fight for a just cause and she's helping her nation progress to their rightful place in the world.

She has a healing scar on her neck, right now it looks worse then it is, essentially a big bruise.

Pokemon bio / personality:

Vlad is very protective of Ruth and generally good at following commands but will succumb to fits of anger. He still is a hothead and won't think through his actions, causing trouble for himself and anyone around him. He can sense danger long before it arrives and would rather charge out and find it rather then wait. Vlad is pretty simple minded, so escape never crossed his mind, he tends to just deal with whatever life throws at him. He had lost his leg as a hatching but through evolving grew back most of the limb, still needing a hook to replace the paw.

He's surprisingly fast for his size and a great swimmer, even being able to carry people and maintain speed. The spikes along his back are highly poisonous but it's the tail that holds most of the danger. The poison needles on it can be launched great distances and the force exuded in a swing can snap steal. His ears can move all directions and give him excellent hearing. His paw only has four fingers and doesn't have much dexterity but he can grip things easily enough. He isn't very used to walking on two legs yet but when he does he is massive and clumsy. Ruth fashioned him a saddle and while it's stable on him she isn't kept securely in place and could easily fall off. Saddle reference- [link]

His winter coat is coming in nicely, making him a fluffy guy.

Angry and Vindictive, Khan does not like humans. It's a wonder the military would think she's usable to them, she rarely ever listens and will even attack her allies. Ruth has started a training regiment to foster dependency in Khan, trapping her with ice type pokemon so she learns Ruth can help her out of situations she can't handle alone. With pokemon she's fairly friendly, except the fish she has labeled for her next meal, and she seems to have instantly bonded with Charlemeign. She acts fast and seems to know her way around a battlefield. Khan is more likely to target humans then pokemon and might even try to make a meal out of an unfortunate looser. She's fastest in the water but her new wings might change that with some practice. She's a rather lumpy dragonite and is always hungry, eating only live pray. Her eyes are a bright cyan and once she's found a target they become dilated. Her wings are large and powerful, but she needs to work on stability in the air. Her jaw can open incredibly wide, and her teeth, while small, are very sharp. Her newly formed claws aren't just sharp but have good dexterity as well.

She was captured from the a cave in Sinnoh, where she ruled the waters with brutality. After several people went missing after entering the cave a team was assembled to remove the menace. Naturally they donated the catch for use in the war.

She is unusually attached to Charlie, and has actually been listening to Ruth's commands fairly well since he joined the team.

Silly, friendly and mischievous. He can perfectly mimic phrases and the voices that said them weeks after they said them, and uses this to mess with people. He also steals just about anything he can get his claws on, especially if it's shiny. If he really likes you he'll give you things he finds, whenever Ruth leaves him out at night she wakes up with a bed covered in buttons, watches, balls, string, knives, berries, gears and much more. This is how Ruth obtained her herbs and poison gem. Bonapart likes being around people, cuddling with them and copying their words or singing. He's highly intelligent and perceptive, and learning slowly to speak and not just mimic. He's a lover not a fighter, but is good at following orders and has some useful attacks. Hyper voice to hurt and even temporarily deafen opponents,Sing nonviolently dispose of enemies, Mimic to copy voices perfectly and copy attacks as necessary defense against them, thief to disarm enemies and cause chaos. His main job will be keeping people in contact, memorizing voices of the people he's allowed to tell information to and relaying it accurately.

A little over a foot tall with a large wingspan and unique feather development resembling music symbols. His tail methodically swings back and forth at all times, even when sleeping. The white feathers around his neck are very fluffy and seem help keep warm. He can't carry a heavy load but always has his necklace with a shell seemingly stolen from an Oshawott.

Nieve, happy, and ermegherd is he tiny. Bonaparte was collecting things for Ruth while she was imprisoned and a shiny sphere caught his eye, Charlie hatched after arriving back at her cell and started out only 4 inches long. By her escape he grew a little but it's unknown if he'll ever be the size of a typical lapras. He has unique coloring for a lapras but it's unknown weither it's connected to his miniature size.

Charlemagne is very happy, and doesn't' seem to understand when in a bad situation. He does whatever Ruth says without question. Walking on land is a little hash on his flippers, so ruth binds them in fabric to protect them.

Ruth found her in the Sinnoh wilderness but based on her demeanor and well maintained coat determined she must have been separated by a human owner recently. Lucy was the name engraved on her collar, the tag is made of a strage material that gives her a boost in power (eviolite). She proved herself as a great alley and after the battle the military denied Ruth's request to find her true owner.

Lucy is sweet and energetic. She's beyond comfortable around humans and as a weapon though she battles other pokemon like it's nothing will is never be willing to attack a human no matter the color they were. She's fiercely loyal, and will put herself in danger to help people. Ruth and Lucy bonded fast and she doesn't try to escape where life has brought her, but battling doesn't seem to be her preferred lifestyle. This dog just wants to curl up in a warm lap and snuggle.
