One brush ,two layers technique is wherein you use only one type of brush.for this instance i used the cover pencil brush/tool ,just varying the opacity and sizes at the same time i used only two layers.i paint first in the first layer then copy and paste it on another layer.the second top layer will now be the one that you gonna edit/paint on,it makes you paint and make changes without affecting your original painting, then you can make erasures on the top layer and your original layer will show of course in the transparency. in that way you can lower the strength of the brushwork you've made on the top layer just by erasing. You can merge the two layers if you are now satisfied with the results.
