What do I think of Equestria Girls? Well, I'll let my OC, Pencil Sketch, and her spastic dancing answer that for you!We're EXCITED, YOU SILLIES, THAT'S WHAT WE THINK OF IT!
I've watched the trailer SO MANY TIMES, since its release on Sunday. Just...oh my god. I can't stop thinking about it. It's gonna be in theaters! How cool is THAT shit?!
I'll admit, when I first heard about EG, I was REALLY wary. I mean..."humans"? Blech! No thanks, I'd rather watch PONIES. And a cliche "high school" setting?! *pukes* But then I saw the animation and heard the awesome music in the trailer...and I was slowly coaxed into finally accepting it! Who knows, it could be pretty good!
Now, I'm pumped up and ready to head to my nearest theater. I even applied to like 6 for a summer job, hoping that I get hired so I can be a part of the staff while the movie comes out! MMMMYEAHMANPONYMOVIE. I have my fingers crossed, DHX! Let's see what ya got!
So this piece is based off the song that plays in the background of the traile. Like I said, it is FREAKING AWESOME! I can tell that I'm already gonna listen to it on repeat for days to come!

The face on the first one made me think this was a boy character. Idk why.
However, the body build makes this look like a mare.
My biggest thing about the movie is the multi-colored humans. I don't like that they're all different colors. With ponies, it makes sense because horses/ponies are covered in fur. Humans are not and their skin would not be all different kinds of color.
Also, I don't like the outfit they gave the Rainbow Dash character. They make it seem like Dashie would not know how to dress herself. Tight track shorts and a skirt? Seriously? Unless they wanted to avoid drawing her ass and front area? I don't get it. I don't even remember if any female character wore pants. I know Fluttershy and Rarity had skirts. I forgot what AppleJack had or what she wore. It seems like she's gonna stay in her role as a background pony/person.

Same with Rainbow Dash. I wonder if they'd change her outfit for a sports game scene if they have one.
I'm kind of curious to see if there's going to be a human version of SpitFire.
Are they going to still have the same names or will they have human names?

It's not a sport outfit, RD is wearing the outfit on the official drawings (the ones they put on boxes etc.)
I imagine SpitFire would be shoved into a skirt too, BTW shouldn't they add the wonderbolts? Luna and Celestia too. (Luna IS the best princess....)

And they should not have the same names because they are not people names.
And that guy twi runs into in the hallway is her bbbff. You can tell by the voice and the hair.

Well, I could say the same for the rest of the girls/females. I thought they were all "of age". When did the writers reduce their ages?
Plus Fluttershy is a year older than Pinkie Pie. Would that make her a sophomore and Pinkie a freshman?
I wonder if they're going to include the wonderbolts somehow.

I found EqG was great after I found A Proper Story from the Bastion soundtrack fits perfectly over the trailer. Mute it and play the song in a different tab.

Before, I thought it was just going to be a spin-off with girls who looked, sounded, and had the same names as the ponies. Now that I know what it's about (aka Twilight walking through the portal as a pony and coming out as a human), I'm super excited to see it.

Sorry, I just saw a post somewhere saying that some background character asks the crusaders about what he should buy Princess twilight for her 'wedding' apparently its an episode in season 4 o-o.

Really good expressions on that dancing pony up there. Yuuuup. EqG? Meh... I'll wait it out, but I'm not expecting anything. I honestly just really, really am weirded out by those piss poor character designs.
But on the other hand...

I'm personally not excited about it for various reasons, but as someone who worked at a theater as a summer job, I will give you a tip. You might be able to snag posters and other items if you ask. Like if they have standees or banners or whatever, you might be able to get one. That said, think your OC is super cute dancing around like that. Very expressive.
