Description Near-to finished. I'll probably add a yellow shine layer on her sometime after the fact. But right now I'm too sleepy to care, and wanted to share this before turning in for the night.

EDIT: added said yellow shine and more shading to the water in the foreground

She looks like she's metal! XD jk this leaves me speechless, not only is the lineart and form flawless but that yellow-green-cyan and blue mix of colors looks beautiful <3

Thank you.

Yes, I probably should've blended the lighting/shading layers on her more, but whatevs - I like the look she has now.

I'd be remiss if I didn't admit "Sunrise" was part of what motivated me to try a sunrise/sunset painting.

Aw Thanks!
I want to start adding thumbs like you do in the artists comments, promoting pieces that are inspirations or similar to what I did. It's a brilliant idea!

I don't see why not. Rather than be 'accused' of copying an idea, to cite inspirations or similar work seems like a fair thing to do.

This is probably pretty blue for a given morning. But as I imagine it's the Atlantic and not the Pacific (which I always associate with a darker blue) it works. Thank you.

So many sunrises like this in the north. It seems almost like vanilla coloured atmosphere. Light pink and yellow colours mixed with a light blue So beautiful!

Thank you.

Orcas and sunsets/sunrises are such a winning combination. And ever since "Early Bird" I've wanted to see what a semi-backlit pass on GO would look like, along with a blue-green sky.

Originally, there was to be land along the horizon, something to evoke a New England coastline look (as I was born in Massachusetts) and further tie-in with GO's backstory. But I liked the open ocean look too much to add that. :3

Welcome ^-^

If GO lived in the waters of Mass, she and Ano could possibly encounter each other sometime He's off the coast of Maine.
