Description This was done on a whim, took about two hours. The title refers to several things. First, my watchers know I have an aversion to adding scenery to my portraits. Not the case here. Second, I have little to no experince drawing humans. So I am shocked at how this nameless girl (loosely based on myself) turned out so well. O.o

Freefall - without his visor, he shows an edgier side. And he has never seen the likes of a human ever before. I imagine this is how he would react. Not very keen to make friends so easily.

The edges are unfinished intentionally. And this is roughly to scale. Fall stands about 18 feet tall, and the platform the girl stands on elevates her for a comparison.

I don't forsee this to lead anywhere, RP-wise or what. Just thought I'd share.

I have an F-14 character myself, Logan Alvamel. He's the plane in my deviant icon. Like Freefall here, he served in the US Navy for many years, attaining the rank of captain and commanded his squadron. He was retired when the entire F-14 fleet was retired from use in 2006. Logan had two friends, both F-14's. Quinn 'Chocks' Radenbaugh and Travis Willard Wilcox. For years they served and were known as the 'Jolly Trio'.

.....! actually, one of the early F-14 design studies{1968} did have F-15-ish fixed wings......so you weren,t too far off.

Interesting. I wasn't aware of that when I 'designed' this guy three years ago. Are there diagrams somewhere?

This makes me wonder how he came to lose his visor. He always seems to guard it so well.

Some traumatic experience involving that and humans was probably the cause. I can't think he'd turn his nose up at a person so much smaller than him over something as minor as irrational fear.

Do you mean, for example, they tried to capture him?

Yes, possibly. Being a mix could be enough to garner the attention of some undesirable individuals.

I imagine that's very close to what he's thinking.

This scene would fit perfectly into the "Swept Away" RP's. That girl's gotta have some courage just to approach.

Either that or she doesn't know any better. I haven't decided which it is. Xp

I've followed some of the later SA threads. Even spotted the cameo story of Fall you mentioned in "The Visitation".

Hinted at Fall and Heather's possible future relationship as well XD. I could imagine humans saying "Heather's all right, even if she's tough on trainees, but that man of hers -- jeez, what a piece of work!"

Sounds about right. Even years after the events of WI I imagine his temper to be the same, if not just more reined in.
